January marks 13th annual “Thyroid Awareness Month”
The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) in collaboration with the American Thyroid Association (ATA) are proud to announce that Thyroid Awareness Month is finally here. This year’s campaign, “How’s Your Thyroid? Who Needs to Know?” is geared towards those who may not know they have a malfunctioning thyroid.

Patient handouts covering hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, thyroid nodules, radioiodine treatment and thyroid carcinoma are available to all AACE members. Members are encouraged to get involved with thyroid awareness month. We have materials online for AACE endocrinologists to educate people in their town. Downloadable presentation kits and a customizable PowerPoint presentation are downloadable at http://www.thyroidawareness.com, the new website devoted entirely to thyroid health.
