Researcher find that along with healthy aging good sex is possible in your 80s.
According to research published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine, healthy older Americans are enjoying long sex lives. At the same time, a decline in sexuality may be an indicator of pending serious health problems as sexual problems may precede diabetes and high blood pressure.
The study was based upon information submitted by 1,550 women and 1,455 men between the ages of 57 and 85.
According to the research, having had a sexually transmitted disease (STD) was related to sexual problems for both men and women, For women STD increased the risk of sexual pain and lubrication problems. Urinary tract syndrome was related to sexual problems for both men and women.
In line with the old saying “candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker” women who drank daily had more interest in and got more pleasure from sex. This was not so for men.
