A new
report from The Cornucopia Institute shines a light on “Major players in the organic food market have been conspicuously silent in what has become the food fight of the decade.”
This would be the California ballot initiative (Proposition 37) to require the labeling of all food products containing genetically engineered (GE) ingredients, commonly called GMOs.
It is not surprising that large companies like Monsanto, agribusiness, and food giants like General Mills, are spending millions to keep consumer’s in the dark about what they are eating.
The Good Guys
On the other side there are many involved in organic food production that are supporting consumers right-to-know by supporting Prop 37.
