safe and natural detox

Yes, it’s that time again. Time to Detoxify, cleanse your body (and mind) while you prepare yourself for the year (years) ahead! Detoxing the body is critical to maintaining your natural health and internal functions and body systems.
Luckily, we have quite a bit of material here on Natural Medicine all about Detox. Our own Dr L is an authority on the matter and has carefully prepared the following articles for your education on the subject.

Body System Focused Detox

There are many ways to detox. Unfortunately, there are volumes of misinformation on the subject. The articles below provide sound information on the most common detoxes; liver, colon and gall bladder.

Hello,
I do not have a comment, but do have a question that hopefully you can answer.
What is your opinion re: colon cleanses ie: colonics?
I had watched Dr. Oz’s show this past Thursday and he said that colon cleanses or colonics are just hype. He said that when someone gets a colon cleanse, it not only gets rid of the bad stuff, toxins, but also gets rid of the good stuff as well. Is this true? Would it be better to just do the safe natural cleanses as described above, along with natural herbs?
I have a celiac condition and would it be okay to do the natural cleanses as I also have some digestive issues that go along with my condition. I try to include as much fiber as I can in my diet because I am bothered with constipation at times.
Thank You,
Michelle.

I have Multiple Myeloma. How safe is it to detoxify my body of naturally building toxics as well as toxics from medications. I have noticed that my creatinine level is increasing indication fo kidney function becoming impaired or not enough fluids. I try to consume 1-2 liters of water/ day.
